I think I understand most of what you are saying.
Modern day art usually seems to be made for the results or outcomes rather than the process.
Many artists tend to chase money and prestige rather than expression, I don't want to make things too politically economically but that's the bottom line conclusion I could come to.
I have been going through a creative block since April with no end in sight. I've felt awful like I've been wasting so much of my time, but I knew I couldn't keep up what I've been doing before. So I decided to branch out,
As in fuck it, I'll take my graphic art skills and use them for 3D instead!
Honestly i don't know what to tell you as of now. On one hand I want to tell you that I think it's time to move onto new ambitions or at least try and learn how to be better at your hobbies.
Or more importantly you can be like me and get sucked out of reality and realize that everything around you is just cheap. Fall into a deep depression, have a life crisis, and think pessimistic like me!
Idk that is just my advice as of now, I guess maybe acceptance is all that can matter :(
