should i post more art?

Posted by WAtheAnum - December 17th, 2018

Since i uploaded now more and more art, i really do ask myself "should i post more"?

Sure some were not up to date (maybe some month old) but if people really would enjoy i could at least upload some (sexy) pictures from all my characters (at least the most of them) so people can see them "in action" or have a new face they might like here. again, im pretty new "here" on newgrounds and i uploaded most of my art on my other accounts already (look my profile) if you really enjoy what i uploaded "so far".

So whats your opinion?

Expanding the reach of your business is always the better option. Keeping everything in order and under control is an even better option. In my opinion, if you aren't going to make Newgrounds your main (or one of) your main posting grounds, it's never a bad idea to upload things you like every now and again.

The thing is, I just don't know what you want. If it were me I'd be posting art to be a little more exclusive to each site I would use and the art I'm especially proud of gets posted on all sites that are applicable. Though, I know that way of posting is much more difficult than putting anything wherever, whenever or putting everything everywhere I can.

I'm always on the promote yourself so you can improve and find people that would like to give you advise about things you can improve on. Even though I follow A LOT of artists and look at their art to see how they improve, I don't give advice because I'm more on the fence about interfering with the way someone does things when I haven't drawn much for a while for personal reasons and . . . worldly, common, negative human interaction reasons.

I guess to be more to the point I have to ask, What do you think of the site and what do you want to use it for?

thats the problem, im pretty new on newgrounds and i have kinda ZERO idea about it. i know about that this is more (or was) a side for flash animations and games, which was the reason i joined coz people on my other side told me i should go there for my (better) flash games so i have a "gaming ground" for them and can advertise my full games (which are "not" flash).

But since some people also enjoy some of my other work or the work im "mainly" known for, i began also to upload some of my newer art here on newgrounds.

Thats why im not sure if i "fit in" here or people really would enjoy my work i regular do next to the games i sure make every now and then, you know?

you might can see what i mean now ^^;

@mixmaster1000 @WAtheAnum Right, I see what you mean. I've actually seen a lot of newcomers talking about being in that same boat. I don't know what happened in the time where I was coming to NG a bit less over the years but everybody somehow created this impression that it was some garden of Eden where all the best creators started and only the highest quality stuff is ever created. It's just not that at all. To me NG has always been the black bull of the internet where everyone gets a chance no matter how good you are or what you're here for.

I imagine Tom is pretty flattered to see his site become something people hold to such high respect. It's like joining an RPG game 10 years after it began where all these players are capped at level 100 and here you are thinking that's an unobtainable pipe dream. But then you learn how the game works, master all the tips and tricks, collect some fairly high level stuff, and possibly get advice from "that one OLD player" and in 3 months you're practically the same level. The only thing you're lacking is the weird stories and decision making other people made back then because everything was so different or how long it probably took to discover those tips and tricks nobody else could tell them even existed. I know that's what makes Newgrounds such a close nit, long standing group. That's the encouragement shared that lights that torch for the next players to show what they're made of regardless of what size and shape you come in. All anyone could ever ask is that you do right by you and try your best.

wise words man and in a short version....i should sure do so....uploading a bit more art...i guess?
